Sir,—l wish to correct any false impression that may have been created by the paragraph in the sports commentary of your issue of June 4. It is true that the support from tennis players for the recent carnival, organised to raise funds for grass courts, was disappointing and that, in consequence, the proceeds fell below expectations. It is a fact, however, that the question of the abandonment of the project has not, at any time, been discussed at meetings of the Management Committee of the Otago Lawn Tennis Association.
