CLUB RESULTS

The Otago Club Stroke Handicap competition, played at Balmacewen on Saturday, was won by A. G. Edey, with a score of 91—20—71. Other good scores were returned by I. A. McLean 77—4—73, F. A. Leslie 85—12—73, Ji M. Ringland 98—24—74, A. Hindle 88—13—75, and W. S. Stewart 85—9—76. The Monthly Stroke Handicap played at St. Clair on Saturday afternoon \yas won by H. J. Rackley (77—7—70) in the A tirade and by R. J. Blyth (90 —16—74) in the B Grade. Other leading scores were:— A Grade: S. C. Gourley 81—8—73, L. Johnson 86—13—73, A. A. Hunter 86—12—74, A. B. Watt 79—5—74. B Grade: J. C. Fogarty 92—17—75,'A. J. Hardy 93—18—75, I. W. Mearns 94—18—76, K. Morrison 97—20—77, N. H. Shepherd 93—16—77. An Australian Stableford played by the Chisholm Park Club resulted in a tie in the A Grade between F. Eskrich and F. Nicol, each with 31 points. On the count back Eskrich was the winner. Other scores were: L. Carter 28. A. Giles 27, and G. Watt 27. In the B Grade, A. Hay ran out winner with 34 points from A. Monk 31 points, T. Braithwaite 30, G. Gray 30. The Juvenile Club played an Australian Stableford. W. Edgar and E. A. Sinclair both returning cards of 32 points. On the count back Sinclair was the winner. N. R. Clark was the next best with 31 points. The Belleknowes Club Single Bogey Handicap, played on Saturday afternoon, resulted in a tie in the A Grade between A. I. Murray and R. J. Philip with cards of 2 up, and on the count back the latter was the' winner. Next best were: B. R. Myers 1 up, J. Gooseman 1 down. In the B Grade E. H. Calder was the winner, all square, followed by L. F. Cleghom, 3 down, and L. E. Anderson, 5 down.
