WINTER SHOW
WOOL CLASSING JUDGING COMMENCED The wool-classing competitions were commenced on’Saturday, the judge beic* Mr J. McGregor, of Mosgiel. The competitions will be continued to-day when the Watson Shennan Memorial Cup for the exhibitor gaining the highest number of points in the open wool-classing section will be judged. Entrants will also compete for Ross and Glendining s Special Prize for the competitor scoring the highest number of points during the show in the first-year competitions. Saturday’s results were:— Open class. Eleven entries—M. Moore, 96 points, 1; J. Elliott and J. G. Todd, 88 points (equal), 2; C. Griffin, E. Williamson, P. S. Birley, M. Brosnan and G. G. Smith, 84 points, all highly commended: G. R. Taylor, 80 points, commended. „ . . T First-year class. Eleven entries—J. Elliott and M. Moore, 92 points (equal), 1: G. G. Smith and L. J. Murphy, 84 points (equal), 3: C. Griffin, 80 points, highly commended; M. Brosnan and J. L. Todd, 76 points, both commended.
