RAIDERS IDENTIFIED
ATTACKS IN SOUTH KOREA SOVIET TROOPS INCLUDED N.Z.P.A.—Reuter—Copyright Rec. 11 p.m. SEOtJL, May 26. Soviet troops have been identified among the raiders who had recently attacked South Korean police stations and homes, said the Director of National’ Police, Dr B. O. Chough. The raiders had committed murder, arson, assault and theft. He also alleged that 2000 North Korean agents who had crossed the thirty-eighth parallel into South Korea included men who had been trained in terrorist activities by Chinese Communists. Confessions by captured agents pinned the organisation of terrorism on the Russians. Since February 7, when the South Korean rioting began, there had been 74 raids across the parallel. Dr Chough said he was not authorised to reveal the number and nature of American Army casualties involved in these encounters.
