EMPIRE TALKS
DECISION POSSIBLE THIS WEEK N.Z.P.A.—Copyright Rec. 9 p.m.* LONDON, May 25. The decision to issue invitations for an autumn conference of Dominion Prime Ministers in London is probable this week, according to the diplomatic correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. A Cabinet committee is considering the arrangements, he says, and is in touch with the Dominions to fix a date convenient to all. Such a date will not be easy to find, but it may be in September, he adds. Reuter reports that the British Government is very keen to hold the conference this year because of the visit of the King and Queen to Australia and New Zealand at the beginning of 1949.
