ART REVIVAL IN ENGLAND
p.A. AUCKLAND, May 24. London was “very exciting” for artists to-day, said Mr James Boswell, a New Zealand artist born in Westport and educated in Auckland, who returned to-day on a visit after 23 years’ absence. Sales were good and there was a wider appreciation of art. Definite national characteristics in modern art were developing in England. The Arts Council had much to do with the revival.
