VICTORIA LEAGUE BALL
Large bowls of multi-coloured flowers flanking the stage, and small posy bowls adorning the tables, arranged in cabaret style around the dance floor, were the decorations chosen for the Victoria League ball, which was held in the Concert Chamber last night on the anniversary of the Birthday of Queen Victoria. The emblem of the League, a golden crown surmounting the Union Jack, occupied a conspicuous position o,n the stage, and one end of the hall was arranged as a lounge. .... The guests were welcomed by the president, Mrs Gerald Fitzgerald, who chose multi-coloured figured satin, and by Miss Dorothea Campbell, wearing honeybeige brocaded satin.
