THEFT OF MONEY
COURT IMPOSES FINE After investigations had been commenced, the defendant posted the money back to the complainant, said Detective C. G. Evans in the Roxburgh Magistrate’s Court on Friday when Eric Gladstone Gordon, aged 44, was charged before Messrs J. H. Waigth and G. N. Jeffery, justices of the peace, with stealing £l2 10s from Mr D. R. L. Broad, a coal merchant, of Roxburgh. The defendant, who elected to be dealt with summarily, was fined £5.
