INFANTILE PARALYSIS
TWO MORE CASES REPORTED
IN AUCKLAND P.A. AUCKLAND, Apl. 18. Two new positive cases of infantile paralysis were reported in the centra! Auckland health district during the week-end. The patients are a young man from the Auckland Teachers’ Training College at Epsom, who was first admitted as a suspect to the Auckland Hospital late on Friday night, and a three-year-old girl from near Waiuku, who was taken to hospital on Saturday. Two suspected cases from the suburbs were also admitted. They were a boy from Mount Eden and a young girl from Orakei. Since the outbreak began in the middle of November there have been 10 deaths in the central Auckland district. Four deaths have occurred in the south Auckland district, two in Hawke’s Bay,’and one in Taranaki. ”
