Film Star Welcome for Australian Cricketers
Rec. 11 p.m. LONDON, Apl. 16. More than 100 newspapermen, . and newsreel and press photographers gave the Australian test team a film star welcome when it arrived at the Tilbury landing stage early this morning. The team later motored to London The Australian team’s tour has aroused more public interest than, any other in test history. All reserved accommodation at the test grounds was booked out weeks ago and most countries report an unprecedented demand for seats during the matches with the Australians. The first match is against Worcester, starting on April 28.
