THE REV. F. C. EVERY

Former Oamaru Resident The Rev. F. C. Every, a former resident, is at present in Oamaru giving a series of talks on the work of the Revival Prayer Fellowship, a world-wide organisation which was started in China 24 JG IVR Every was born on June 28, 1874, at Oamaru, and received his education at the Oamaru North School. His first sermon was preached in the Oamaru Methodist Church, of which he was minister until 1900. In that year he left for Dunedin, where he became associated witn Baptist churches in Otago, the first being at Owaka. In 1906 he left for America, where he commenced work with the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago. In 1907 he went to Canada, where he worked on an Indian reservation near Winnipeg. He returned to New Zealand in 1918, and was minister of several Baptist pastorates until 1941, when he retired at Richmond, Nelson. Later he organised the Revival Prayer Fellowship in New Zealand. Mr Every addressed the annual meeting of St. Paul’s P.W.M.U. on Thursday afternoon, and a united meeting of churches on Thursday rnght. He ad" dressed a meeting at Herbert last night, and will give sermons at the Baptist and Methodist Churches to-morrow.
