PALMERSTON SALE
A small yarding of 1400 sheep war, penned at the Palmerston sale, medium to carry-over lamhs, with a few pens of ewes and wethers. The buying was mostly confincid to local compctiti n. The market was steady at recent rates. n good two-tooth ewes made 46s Sd? medium, 325; s.m. halfbred ewes 26s fid- full-mouth halfbred ewes, 18s 6d to 25s- culls, 10s Gd to 11s 9d; four-tootn wethers, 27s 9d to 295; two-tooth wethers, 28s- good late lambs, to 27s 3d; medium, 23s’to 245; small, 17s to 20s. . The small yarding of cattle comprised 40 head, and three and four-year-old bullocks made to £l7 ss; heifers at profit, to £l6 ss; springing heifers, £9.
