PALESTINE

Sir, —Every humane reader will deplore the extreme savagery which accompanies all Jewish military actions in Palestine. Dissatisfied with their past terrorist records, the Jews have reached a yet higher standard in their desire to commit atrocities. This dreadful massacre and mutilation of Arab men. women, and children and the recent slaughter of our own soldiers can only be compared with Nazi concentration camp tactics; it appears that the Jews have learned much from their former masters. The Jewish Agency pretends to denounce these actions, but why does it not prevent them? The Stern Gang and other terrorist groups are small enough to be disarmed by Hagannah.

The Arabs throughout their history have held chivalry and honour above all things, therefore we can rely upon them to fight men, and not women and children, whilst defending their native land. The Jews require and should have a home, but a home in Palestine at such a price is unjustified and not practicable. The Jewish cause originally found us sympathetic, but their own treacherous actions have proved them unworthy of any pitv or assistance.—l am. etc.. Citizen.
