STREET APPEAL
Y.W.C.A. BENEFITS
A sum of about £350 was raised by the street day appeal held by the Young Women’s Christian Association in Dunedin yesterday. This amount is exclusive of donations. More than 200 collectors were stationed on city street corners and in the suburbs, and the general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. in Dunedin, Miss Williamson, last night thanked the collectors for their efforts and the public for its generous response to the appeal. The sum raised, she said, compared favourably with previous years’ results.
