MISS BAIRNSFATHER AT OPUNAKE Special to the Daily Times WELLINGTON, Mar. 12. The Taranaki autumn circuit will be concluded with the Opunake Racing Club's meeting at Hawera to-morrow. Large fields of even class are engaged, and the form shown at the Egmont and Taranaki meetings should be a useful guide. The track would benefit from rain during the week and should provide good going. Betting will be win-and-place, and the favourites may include:— 11.15: Patikl High-welght Handicap.—Te Wepu, Glenfayle, Valued. 12.0: Pihama Handicap.—General Rule, Brookland, Curtana. 12.45: St. Patrick's Handicap.—Morning Dew, Bramerton, Lady Merit. 1.25: Borough Stakes.—Aubrey, Waimate, Early Astir. 2.0: Opunake Cup.—Miss Balrnsfather, Faultina, Baruch. 2.45: Alan Good Memorial Hack Handicap.—Schoolboy, White Diamond, Corn--3.30: President’s Hack Handicap.—Morea Fox, Square Dink, Conceal. 4.20: Farewell Hack Handicap.—Bian Rouge, Strathconan, Retrieve.
