GOOD FINISHES
NORTH END’S SUCCESS REGATTA AT RAVENSBOURNE Fine weather and good water and wind conditions made the Ravensbourne Boating Club's annual regatta on Saturday afternoon an unqualified success. A varied programme was provided, there being eight rowing, six yachting and two speedboat events. There was a large attendance. For the oarsmen the water was perfect. Most of the races were well contested but the North End Club crews were superior on the day. All of the yacht races were completed in reasonable times, although the wind could have been much stronger. The differences in horsepower, of the speedboats set a task for handicappers but both races in this class produced good finishes.
