MONTHLY MEETING Mr H. Hay w»as in the chair at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Inspector Flett reported he and Inspector Stock had investigated a complaint about a heavy chain on a bull. He had destroyed two aged dogs, and a complaint in respect of dogs destroying hens was receiving his attention. Inspector Stock reported he had killed at the lethal chamber 13 cats and 3 dogs. He had received a complaint concerning a dog being placed in too small a box for transit to Christchurch, and had changed the box and cautioned the owner. He had taken charge of a collie dog which he was looking after until the owner could be found.
