N.G. Bro. Naish was in the chair at the monthlv meeting of the Loyal Band of Friendship Lodge. It was reported that a large number of replies had been received for accommodation at the annual meeting of the Otago District to be held at Kakanui on April 10. It was reported that the 1000 membership campaign showed gratifying results, and that North Otago’s big lead, established at the commencement of the campaign in 1947, was being maintained. Arrangements were made for the entertaining of delegates to the annual meeting of the Otago District on April 14. N.G. Bro. Naish and P.S.P.G. Bro. Carruthers were appointed delegates to the annual meeting. Loyal Oamaru Tentative arrangements were made to hold an “ Old Timers’ Night ” on Saturday, May 8, at the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Oamaru Lodge on Thursday night. N.G. Bro. B. Allen was in the chair. Juvenile Lodge At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Juvenile Lodge it was decided to reopen the lodge on March 10. P.G. Bro. I. Bain was in the chair. The latest report of the “ 1000 Membership Campaign ” showed a large gain for the year, North Otago heading the list with" 46.2 per cent, of its quota.
