INDIVIDUAL ARRANGEMENTS
UNION REQUIRES PRIOR ' NOTIFICATION P.A. AUCKLAND, Feb. 23.
An announcement that the carpenters’ go-slow would continue until the Auckland Master Builders’ Association had officially reported to the union the decision already published in the press was made to-day by the assistant secretary of the Auckland Carpenters and Joiners’ Union, Mr D. M. Martin. He said it had been reported that the master builders had decided to leave it to individual members to make arrangements with their men over the disputed rates of pay, but that no approach had been made to the union. Mr M. F. Bunker, secretary of the Master Builders’ Association, said that so far few employers had reached a decision. In cases where they had offered to the men on 3s 7d an hour an extra IJd an hour, normal work had been resumed, but no doubt union officials would endeavour to upset these decisions
