Visit of Australians
To-morrow afternoon patrons at the grass courts in the Gardens will have an opportunity of seeing lawn tennis at. its best, in exhibition matches played by the visiting Australian tennis players. The visitors are Brown and Dart, and Misses Toomey and Bevis. with Mr E. R. Stevens, of Sydney, as manager. They are staying at the Queen’s Hotel. The programme of matches is as follows:—l.4s p.m.: Women’s Singles, Miss Toomey v. Miss Bevis. 2.45 p.m.: Men’s Singles, Brown v. Dart. 3.45 p.m:: Women’s Doubles, Misses Toomey and Bevis v Mrs Kennedy and Miss Kerr. 4.45 p.m.: Men’s Doubles, Brown and Dart v. Robson and Giffin. 5.45 p.m.: Mixed Doubles, Robson and Miss Kerr v. Dart and Miss Toomey.
