LOSS OF SCIENTISTS
“ WORLD PRICES NOT PAID ” Referring to the loss of scientists from New Zealand, Professor F. G. Soper (Dunedin) expressed his opinion at a meeting of the University Senate on Saturday that the primary reason was that scientists in the Dominion were not paid world prices. Because something like the world price doctors was being paid. New Zealand was experiencing a rush in medicine. Professor Soper said that he hoped the subject would be discussed by the Senate later in the session. Mr L. K. Munro (Auckland) said he considered that it would be proper to convey a resolution to the Government on the lose of scientists from the Dominion and the difficulty of obtaining good scientists from abrqad.
