“WAR-MONGERING PROPAGANDA”

p.A CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 2. A charge of war-mongering propaganda has been levelled against Mr Randolph Churchill by the Christchurch branch of the Railway Tradesmen's Association, which is asking the Canterbury Trades Council to act in the matter. Last evening the branch passed the following resolution:— “That this branch views with grave

concern the irreparable damage to international relations caused through the war-mongering propaganda of Mr Randolph Churchill, and requests the Trades Council to take the necessary steps to have it terminated at the earliest possible moment.” The secretary of the Trades Council, Mr A. B. Grant, said men like Mr Randolph Churchill were doing considerable harm by over-emphasis of _ aspects showing Russia in a poor light. It would be a good thing if after the visit, of Mr Churchill he could be followed by someone who would put to the people the other side of the questions he dealt with.
