Jottings Acclamation will be bracketed with Columella in the Spring Handicap at Addington to-day. Brooksby Hall is a five-year-old by Dillon Hail from Mountain Gift, and is trained by S. Todd at Invercargill. Nicely Placed Coral Princess looks nicely placed on the front of the Cambridge Handicap at Addington to-day. Notification of Drivers Trainers with horses engaged in the trotting events at Wingatui to-day must give early notification to the clerk concerned of the names of the drivers of their respective horses. Speedy Trotter Loyal Flier is a speedy trotter, but the Grattan Loyal gelding does not always control his gait in a race. Promising Form Red Hussar, a five-year-old by Jack Potts from Justified, should not be off the winning list very much longer. He showed some promising form last season. A Fit Horse Loyal Peter worked particularly well at Addington on Thursday morning, and will be a fit horse for the Electric Handicap to-day. He went the last half-mile of a work-out in lmin 6sec. Erratic Trotter Golden Amazon kept to a level gait when worked with Admiration at Addington on Thursday, recording 3min 33 4-ssec for a. mile and a-haif. His prospects always depend on whether or not he trots without breaking. An Improver Bonaparte built up a record last season of a win, a second, and a third in eight starts. A four-year-old by Red Shadow from Princess Napoleon (Silk Thread— Loretta Napoleon), he is a half-brother to that smart performer, In the Mood. Back-marker To-day Sand Piper ran some fair races last season, his best performance being in the Peninsula Handicap at the Forbury Park meeting in May, in which he finished third to Mountain Hall and Coral Princess. The winner established a track record of 3min Msec, and Sand Piper went 3min Msec from a 3min 29sec mark. From Kerrytown Blue Match is among those who have been nominated for both trotting events at Wingatui to-day, and will have to win the Brockville Trot to avoid giving away 4sec in the Wingatui Trot if he starts. He is a five-year-old roan gelding by Wrackful from Pretty Match, and is trained by F. P. Brosnan at Kerrytown.
