NOT JUSTIFIED
RESTORATION OF CUTS BROADCASTING HOURS Parliamentary Reporter WELLINGTON, Aug. 20. It was the opinion of the electricity supply authorities that the improved electric power position in the South Island did not yet justify any restoration of the cuts made in broadcasting hours, stated the Minister in Charge of Broadcasting, Mr Jones, in a written reply in the House of Representatives to-day to a question by Mr P. G. Connolly (Govt., Dunedin Central). The Minister added that the position was continually under review, and when such a step could be justified consideration would be given to restoring the cuts in broadcasting hours.
