FINAL DIVIDEND DECLARED PA CHRISTCHURCH Aug. 19 Special accounts of Weeks Limited for the vear ended July 25 disclose a profit of £8274, after providing £11,900 for taxation and £6663 for depreciatio.. In addition to the interim dividend of 4 per cent, paid in February, the directors Recommend a final dividend of 4 per cent navable on September 1. It is also re commended that £2500 of excess provision for taxation be transferred back to the Appropriation Account and that £2500 be transferred from appropriation 1 °dl vidends IC ata'b £4Boo' of the net profit of £8274. leaving available from the year’s profits £3474, to which is added the balance brought forward from last vear of £4295, making a total of £B3Jy carried forward. Contrary to expectations stocks increased considerably during the year and this, together with the purcha e of new plant and machinery shown m the balance sheet at £11,308, caused thcompany tq operate on an overdraft shown in the accounts at £33,BUJ.
