PRIZE RING BEATS HURDLERS Special to the Daily Times. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 17. There was some good racing on the last day of the Grand National meeting. A section of the crowd was in a critical mood, making some demonstration about the improved form of three winners—Wane, Findon and Kirkella—while some badly placed patrons -of the outside enclosure made a Quite unwarranted display against the judge’s placing of Page’s Raid as the winner of the Lincoln Steeplechase.
