INSTITUTE OF SECRETARIES
ANNUAL MEETING OF OTAGO CHAPTER The annual meeting of the Otago Chapter of the' New Zealand Institute of Secretaries was held recently, Mr J. R. Frazer presiding over a good attendance of members. Presenting the annual report, the chairman referred to the successful year just concluded, and the gratifying increase in membership through examination. The total strength of the chapter was now 68, he said, and last year the number of candidates for examination constituted a record. The election of officers resulted as follows: Committee—Messrs J. R. Frazer (chairman), J. C. Lucas (vice-chairman), S. H. Foote, P. E. Maxwell, C. Munro, F. A. Peat. M. H. Pizey, A. C. Stewart, and M. J. Boardman.; secretary and treasurer, Mr G. A. McPherson: auditor, Mr C. Penman: representative on the New Zealand Council, Mr M. J. Boardman.
