Sydenham Hurdles Favourite FINAL CARD AT RICCARTON
The Grand National meeting of this season will drop into history to-day, when the third and final card will be decided at Riccarton. The public will no doubt rely on the form shown on the two previous days but in some cases calculations might be upset by the size of the fields and the fact that several fresh horses are engaged. It is safe to say that the racing will reach the standard associated with these meetings and the following horses may be among those carrying the heaviest investments: — 10.32: Hunt Cup Steeples. —Fairyhouse, Bravura, Cloister. 11.22: Longbeach Handicap. —Afton Water, Ganjah, Special Flight. 12.2 : Sydenham Hurdles. —Duality, Prize Ring, Desert Trek. 12.47: Styx Hurdles.— Night Fighter, Hippodrome, Montello d’Oro. 1.32: Heathcote Handicap.— Findon, Lord Elgin, Detain. 2.12: Lincoln Steeples.— Page’s Raid, Surpeen, Spanish Main. 2.55: Redcliffs Handicap. —Beechwood, Penetrate, Copper Coin. 3.42: Selwyn Handicap. —Frances, Julius Caesar, Lorna Leigh.
