Rioting and Looting Continue in Lahore
Rec. 8 p.m. LAHORE, Aug. 13. Sixty were killed and more than 100 injured, the majority of them Sikhs, in rioting to-day. Troops and police opened fire several times. Two brigades of troops are operating inside the walled city, where fires are raging, and a further brigade will be rushed up to-morrow. Troops operating in the Amritsar area shot dead 61 Sikh raiders who were armed with mortars, Bren and Sten guns.
