RECORD MASS FLIGHT
AMERICAN SUPER-FORTRESSES WASHINGTON, Aug. 1. A flight of seven super-fortresses completed the longest and fastest mass flight ever attempted when they arrived at Washington from Tokio today after 1684 minutes aloft with only one stop—at Anchorage, Alaska. The flight was one of the features of the fortieth anniversary celebrations of the Army Air Force. One of the original eight planes dropped out at Anchorage.
