Advice has been received from London that Mr R. S. Dick has been sucAssful in gaining the Honours degree of F.B.D.A. Diploma in Orthoptics' and Diploma in Contact Lenses. Mr Dick is returning to New Zealand' by the Rangitata, due in Auckland at the end of August. Passengers who left for the north by air yesterday were:—Mr R. J. Lamb, Mr T. G. Cole (Christchurch), Mrs C. Stockman, Mr J. L. Matheson, Mr G. E. Frost, Mr F. Crook, Mr Roy, Mr G. R. Herron, Mr H. English, Mr C. R. Hart, Miss G. S. Mitchell (Wellington), Mr and Mrs G. R. Scheffer, Mrs J. R. Hayman (Auckland). Those who arrived from the north were:— Mr J. R- Lawry: Mr Meuli, Mr D. Coates, Mr J. Foley, Mr A. G. Harper, Mr F. B. Stephens, Dr S. Wylie, Mr R. J. Jorgenson, Mr M. G. McLean, Mrs D. Jones (Dunedin), Mrs R. Cook, Mr and Mrs R. Kirkwood (Invercargill). Passengers who left for the south were Mr J. Todd, Mrs C. Henderson, Miss L. Nicholson. Mr J.
