MEMBERS OF J FORCE ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED P.A. WELLINGTON, June 4. “I am pleased to be able to state,” said the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, to-day, “ that arrangements have been completed for 223 members of J Force who have volunteered for a further period of service in Japan to have leave in New Zealand. “Of this number, 17 are already in New Zealand, having returned by air, and the remaining 206 Including 14 members of the women’s services, will be returning in the first draft from Japan. All these leave personnel will have at least one month in New Zealand before returning to Japan.”
