Associated Gold Dredges.—The return for the week ended May 31 was 128 oz from 83,515 yards in 343 J hours. Gold Dredges of New Zealand.—The following are the returns for the month: Arahura. 565 hours, 299,000 yards, 1027 oz; Kanieri, 530 hours, 252,000 yards, 5610 z. Slab Hut Creek.—The return for the week ended May 30 was 32 ounces from 21,000 yards in 125 hours. Grey River Dredge.—The Grey River Dredging Company, Ltd., reports a net profit of £9014 for the year to December 31 1946, from bullion sales totalling £87,047 Operating and administrative costs were £64 183, export tax on gold took £BO3B, income tax £ll2O, and the sum of £5078 was written off preliminary expenses and underwriting commission on shares The dredge operated 6046 hours, or 81.3 per cent, of the possible digging time, and treated 4,572,202 cubic yards of grave!, from which 8392.74 crude ounces of: bullion were recovered, having a realisation value of £87,047. This represented an average recovery of 4.574 d a cubic yard
