RABBIT SKIN SALE
PRICES SLIGHTLY * EASIER WINTER GRADES REMAIN FIRM The Dunedin Stock and Station Agents' Association (National Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd., Dalgety and Company, Ltd. Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd., Otago Farmers’ Co-operative Association, New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd.. Donald Reid and Company, Ltd., Stronach, Morris and Company, Ltd.) held the fortnightly rabbit skin sale yesterday, when approximately 76 ton's of skins were offered. Bidding was very erratic and hatt*:s’ grades showed a decline of from 6d to 9d per lb. Autumns and incomings were easier by from 3d to 6d per lb, compared \Vith last sale’s rates, whilst winter grades were firm. The catalogue comprised a large proportion of factory skins. The following is a range of prices:—Small, 28d to 31Jd; runners, 58ld to 73d; racks, 75d to 86d; summers, 74Jd to 75Jd; milky, 54d to 65d; third broken, 60d to 69d; second broken, 122 d to 124 d; first broken, 130 d to 133 d; dawny autumns, 114 d to 117 d; first early autumns, 130 d to 134 d; second early autumns, 124 d to 129 d; third autumns, 118 d to 122 d; first weevilly to 90d; weevilly, 36d to 40d; first late autumns, 152 d to 155 d; second late autumns, 133 d to 135 d; third late autumns, 121 d to 124 d; first incoming, 160 d to 165 d; second incoming, 144 d to 147 d; third 'incoming, 127 d to 132 d; first early winter bucks, 162 d to 166 d; second early winter bucks, 146 d to 150 d; third early winter bucks, 132 d to 136 d; first early winter does, 187 d to 192 d; second early winter does, 157 d to 161 d; third early winter does, 134 d to 137 d; first winter bucks, 169 d to 174 d; first winter does, 183 d to 192 d; winter bucks, spotty, 140 d to 144 d; winter does, spotty. 150tl to 155 d; spring bucks, 119 d to 130 d; spring does. 124 d to 138 d; first hareskins, 141 d to 145 d; second hareskins, 112 d to 115 d; first black, 142 d to 157 d; second black, 156 d to 128 d; third black, 64d to 66d; first fawn, IGOd to 165 d; second fawn, 144 d to 146 d; third fawn, 90d to 95id; first ferrets, 11s 6d to 15s; second ferrets to 2s; first stoats, 8s to 9s; Second stoats, Is 6d to 2s Id. The next sale is set down for Tuesday, June 17, and trappers will require to have their skins in store by June 10 to enable them to be included.
