HIGH SCHOOL EX-GIRLS

The May meeting of the Otago Girls High School Ex-girls' Association was given over to hilarity in the form of a

“ mad hatters’ ” evening, at which everyone had been requested to wear a ” mad ” hat. The types of headgear displayed were original and ingenious, and some really smart millinery creations resulted from 1 lie skilful manipulation of such unlikely articles as vegetables, lampshades, dish cloths, pot scrubbers and even a hen’s nest, complete with an egg. On stage an entertainment entitled ” Family Album ” provided much amusement. This was arranged by Miss Helen Wilson and presented by members of the association. Original verses, describing the various characters who appeared in the family album, and who later " came to life.” were written by Miss Doris Petrie.
