SHIP ON FIRE
SOMERSET DOMINION BOUND CREW ABANDONS VESSEL LONDON, Apl. 14. Lloyd’s have received a report that the. British steamer Somerset, bound for Dunedin from Avonmouth, sent a message to Barbados to-day: “The engine room is on fire five miles off Aruba (West Indies). The crew has abandoned ship. We understand the Panamanian tanker Misoa and a tug are proceeding to our position.”
