STREET APPEAL TO-DAY The Young Women’s Christian Association will to-day make its annual street collection of funds for the carrying on of its commendable services to the community. In addition, the public will be afforded an opportunity of supporting the association by patronising a shop which has been opened for the occasion in Messrs Arthur Barnett’s premises, George street. There will also be a special window display at the D.I.C. Apart from its better-known activities, the Y.W.C.A. is a pryt of a world wide organisation, and- does its share to foster international fellowship. During the past year money has been raised for reconstruction work in other countries, and food parcels and clothes have been sent to Britain and Europe. A trained staff is always available to help girls or women whether or not they are members of the Y.W.C.A.
