EFFORTS IN GERMANY CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATS MOVE Rec. 8 p.m, LONDON, Mar. 16. The Germans are making their first organised effort to restore a central Government to Germany, says the Berlin correspondent of the British United Press. Leaders of the Christian Democratic Uniofi from all the occupation zones agreed yesterday at Berlin to form a committee to lay the ground work for a central Government. Two opposition leaders—the head of the Socialist Unity Party. Wilhelm- Bieck, and Wilhelm Kueitz of the Liberal Democrats —attended. Pieck’s presence is believed to indicate that the Russians approve of the move. . ......
