SURF LIFE SAVING

CHRISTCHURCH TEAM'S VISIT There was a crowd of about 2000 people watching the competitions at St. Kilda beach on Sunday between . teams from South Brighton, St.. Clair and St. Kilda surf clubs. At the end of the events a demonstration was given in resuscitation and following this the trophies were presented to the winning teams by Mr G. K. Neill. The following were tire results:— Efficiency Cup: South Brighton, 11 points, 1; St. Kilda, 3 points, .2 Massetti Cup: St. Kilda, 10 points, 1; St. Clair, 7 points, 2. St. Kilda Shield: St. Clair 1, St. Kilda 2. The outstanding competitor was N. Schou (South Brighton). He is the New Zealand junior beltman’s champion, and although only 15 years of age, entered and won the senior surfman and beltman races,
