GOOD RESPONSE FROM OWNERS

There is a splendid list of nominations for the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s Dunedin Cup meeting on January 18 and 25. Without exception, good'fields are assured for both days. Particularly pleasing was the response made by owners in regard to the principal events, the Dunedin Cup and the Metropolitan Handicap, each of which drew 17 nominations. Among those nominated are two winners of doubles at the Canterbury Park meeting—the brilliant four-year-old Sir Michael and Cameronian, while interest in these events will be heightened by the appearance of Nyallo Scott,* who has claims to being the most consistent pacer in commission. The tighter-class events for trotters, which on occasions have drawn disappointing fields, have filled exceptionally well, and altogether it may be said that the meeting should be one of the most successful yet held on the course.
