Three are reported killed and 18 injured when a DC 3 airliner carrying 20 passengers and three members of a crew crashed last night in a densely wooded section of Carmel, New Jersey, in a heavy snowstorm. The plane, which was bound from Miami to Newark, had been scheduled to refuel at Raleigh, North Carolina, and Richmond Virginia, but was unable to land because of bad weather. A survivor of the crash said the pilot was trying to reach another airport for an emergency landing when the crash took place.
