COMMISSIONS SECURED
DOMINION PERSONNEL IN JAPAN OTAGO MEN INCLUDED (N.Z. Official Correspondent) QHOFU, Dec. 29. The first men to be commissioned from personnel who came to Japan with the Empire Pride and Chitral drafts have passed out of the Officer Cadet Training Unit, and yesterday morning they marched past Brigadier Potter, commander of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. in Japan, who later addressed them. The successful candidates were: R. A. Wright, E. Mills, R. S. Wylie, A. C. Bayliss and T. W. Saundery (Auckland), R. A. Johnson and K. W. Langdon (Whangarei), A, Howell (Motukarara), L J. Needham (Hamilton), J. Pearson ('Whakatane), J. S. BrownRennie and V. R. Fenby (Dunedin), G. W. Bruhns and D. Webster (Timaru), G. D. Campbell (Taranaki), L. G. Dutton, G. S. Nichols, A. D. Rogers and R. L. Bonifant (Christchurch), A. Couper (Palmerston North), A. G. McHugh, K. L. Sole, J. A. Hannan, E. von Keisenberg and W. G. Hensy (Wellington), C. R. Honey (Palmerston), P. B. Pollard (Gisborne), J. Pye-Smith (Nelson). P. R. Naughton (Waimate) and J. B. Barrett (Central Otago). .
