LABOUR PARTY
BRANCH AT PORTOBELLO An enthusiastic meeting was held in the Coronation Hall, Portobello, on Tuesday for the purpose of forming a branch of the New Zealand Labour Party. The meeting was addressed by Mr W. Hudson, acting president of the Otago Labour Representation Committee, and by Mr J. P. Ruth, the chairman of the St Kilda Electorate Campaign Committee. It was unanimously decided by the residents to form a branch and to include Otakou in the area to be covered by this branch. . , , , . . Mr H. Forsvth was elected chairman and Mr F. Partel was elected as secretarytreasurer. / •
