A LONDON WEDDING
Dunn—Patterson A marriage of interest to Dunedin friends of the bridegroom took place recently at St. John's Presbyterian Church, Kensington, London, between Joyce, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Patterson, of Wanganui, and lan Gilman, elder son of the Rev. and Mrs Gilman Dunn, of Wadestown. Wellington. The officiating clergy man was the Rev. G. T. Bellhouse, ot Eastbourne, an old friend of the bridegroom’s family. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr W. Patterson, of Shotts, Scotland, looked charming in a trained cream satin gown, cut on classical lines. A Brussels lace veil, that had been worn by her mother on her own wedding day, was held in place with a spray of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of cream carnations. Miss Joan Bellhouse was the bridesmaid. She wore a ground length gown of shell pink lace, with carnations in her hair and in her bouquet. Mr Arthur Peterson, late of Wellington, was best man. The reception was held at the Hotel Rembrandt. Gladioli made lovely decorations in both the church and the reception room. The guests were received by Mrs W. Patterson, assisted by Mrs G. T. Bellhouse. Many congratulatory cablegrams were received from relatives and friends in New Zealand. The toast "Absent Friends " was specially honoured. The guests included many of the bridegroom’s fellow students as well as cx-offlcers of the R.A.F. who had served with him in the Coastal Command. The six weeks' honeymoon is spent in Paris and Switzerland. Mr and Mrs lan Dunn will make their home in London until such time as Mr Dunn completes his post-graduate studies in architecture.
