CO-OPERATION REQUESTED
APPEAL TO OTHER STATES (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 10. The French authorities have ordered stronger control of all ports in order to check the sailing of the increasing number of illegal Jewish immigrants trying to reach the Holy Land. The Daily Telegraph states that Britain has already made representations to Russia, Rumania, France, Poland and Czechoslovakia requesting co-operation in the prevention of the departure of illegal emigrants from their countries. The Daily Telegraph points out, however, that under international law there is nothing to prevent the sailing of a ship, the papers of which are in order, carrying passengers possessing valid passports and visas.
