AIR SERVICES
COMING DISCUSSIONS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 11. The New Zealand representatives at the coming meetings to be held in Wellington of the Committee for Air Navigation and Ground Organisation and the Committee of Meteorologists of the South Pacific Air Transport Council have been announced by the Minister of Defence. Mr Jones.
They will be as follows:—Mr J. _M. Buckeridge, acting controller of civil aviation; Wing-commander M. A. F. Barnett, director of meteorological services; Wing-commander L. F. P. Taylor, director of flying control; Wingcommander C. Turner, director of signals; Wing-commander I. A. Scott, acting deputy controller of airways; Squadron-leader R. G. Simmers, deputy director of meteorological services; Flight-lieutenant W. R. Dyer, of the Fiji meteorological office; Squad-ron-leader E. C. Smart, technical adviser to the civil aviation branch; Mr D. O. Haskell, aerodromes engineer in the Public Works Department; Mr H. W. Curtis, divisional director (telecommunications) New Zealand Post Office; and Mr T. R. Clarkson, divisional engineer (radio) New Zealand Post Office.
Squadron-leader Smart will proceed to Fiji with the United Kingdom and Australian Government’s representatives to assist them in their inspection of facilities provided for international air services on the colony.
