IRISH MELODIES The weekly community sing in the Strand Theatre yesterday attracted a large audience, the occasion being irlsn Day.” The programme was made up of Irish songs, and items sung by the guest singer, Mr George Butler, proved popular Mr H. P. Desmoulins was leader. Mr J. F. Himburg assisting, with Mr A. Pettitt at the piano. Proceeds were again for the “ Food for Britain ” fund, and the response was excellent.
