LOCAL MATCHES FOR TO-DAY The principal match at Carisbrook to-day will be played by Kaikorai and University A. When these teams met in the first round Kaikorai won an exciting match by 5 to 3, and it is expected that the scores ’will be close again to-day. In the curtain raiser Southern will meet Dunedin and as Southern are leading by a point in the competition interest is being centred in the result. At Hancock Park Pirates A will play Zingari, at University Oval Training College will play Union, at Port Chalmers Alhambra will meet the local team, and at Bathgate Park Taieri will meet the much-improved University B team. Owing to the state of the grounds it has been found necessary to make the following alterations:—Second Grade. —Dunedin v. Union transferred from Caledonian Ground to Hancock Park at 1.30 p.m. Third Grade.—Section 2: Pirates C v. Varsity F transferred from Oval No. 4 to Logan Park No. 2 at 1.30 p.m. Fourth Grade.—Section 2: Pirates B v. Port Chalmers transferred from Varsity Oval No. 1 to Logan Park No. 1 at 1.30 p.m. Fifth Grade. —Technical College v. Kings High School transferred from Oval No. 4 to Montecillo No. 2 at 1.30 p.m.
