BLOWN TO SAFETY
THIRTY-FIVE OF CREW (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 3. Nine British officers, 12 Lascar seamen, and 4 local Arab labourers are missing from the tanker Empire Cross. Thirty-five members of the crew were saved and are receiving hospital treatment. The ship's captain was one of those blown to safety.
