SECOND ROUND OPENS The opening games in the second round Of the Otago Football Association's Senior Competition was played on Saturday in ideal weather. University A. Mosgiel. and Northern all gained'full points, but Maori Hill played one of its best games to date to extend Mosgiel fully. Southern lost to Technical Old Boys, but a draw would have been a fitting result on the run of the play. Old Boys had the bye. The results were as follows: Northern 5, Caversham X. Technical Old Boys 3, Southern 1. Mosgiel 5, Maori Hill 3. University A 5, Roslyn-Wakari X. Mornington 6, University B 5.
